Foursquare app lets you check-in to near by places using your iPhone's GPS and see which of your freinds and people you can connect with are already at that place!

Major functionality attributes are mentioned below:

• Lets you see where your friends have checked in at the moment. You can also visualize them on Google Maps
• Lets you "Shout" a message to all your friends, e.g. "Let's meet at Starbucks at 7pm"
• Lets you see yourself checked in to your most recent activity on Google Maps
• Lets you find all near by places using your GPS signal. It shows how many other people are checked in at that place.
• Shows what are the hottest places trending now near you so you can be part of the night life, if you will.
• Lets you even see profiles & pictures of people already checked in at a particular place and you may interact with them, be friends etc.
• Lets you add a new place if it is not already on the grid and be it's Mayor
• Tracks all your check ins at each place and makes you Mayor if you are more "local" to that place than others. i.e. more check ins.
• Lets you suggest tips for each place you check in e.g. "check out their Mohito, really awesome!"
• You can build a To-Do list of activities you want to do next time you check into a place. Others can view this To-Do list if you like. Similarly you can view theirs and plan your activities
• Sends you push notifications of all check in activities of your friends so you can also patch up and easily know if someone you know is near by
